Twenty-three belfries in the north of France and the belfry of Gembloux in Belgium were inscribed by UNESCO as a group and as an extension of the 30 Belgian belfries inscribed in 1999 under the name Belfries of Flanders and Wallonia. Built between the eleventh and seventeenth centuries, they showcase the Roman architectural styles, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque.
