White enamel and silver gilded Maltese cross with final ball tips and deep blue enamel inserts, with a laurel wreath between the arms, in a suspension with a rotating crown. the face with a circular central blue enamel and a gold-plated medal bearing a gold-plated Dutch lion inside a white enamel ring with gold-plated letters "JE MAINTIENDRAI" (I will keep). The back with a circular central blue enamel pendant bearing the gold-plated crown encryption of Queen Wilhelmina, in whose name the Order was founded, inside a white enamel ring with gold-plated letters "GOD ZY MET ONS" (God be with us). The Order was established by Queen Emma, Dowager Queen, Acting Regent of Queen Wilhelmina, on April 4, 1892, and can be awarded to both Dutch citizens and foreigners for outstanding service to the Dutch throne, state or society.
